âą Analyze the work to be performed using tender documents, specifications and drawings âą Perform quantity and material takeoffs from drawings âą Analyze direct and indirect costs related to the project âą Request price quotes from suppliers and subcontractors âą Recommend, when necessary, alternatives to what is specified on the drawings âą Participate in the preparation of the formal bid âą Other job-related duties as required
âą Vocational diploma (DEP) in Electricity or significant relevant experience âą Minimum five years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial and industrial) âą Experience working on construction sites (asset) âą Good knowledge of construction and industrial electrical systems, instrumentation and control (asset) âą Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code âą Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret plans and drawings âą Ability to manage priorities in a multi-project environment âą Self-directed, detail-oriented and organized âą Fluent in French; functional proficiency in English
