📋 Description

• Design and ship user-facing features backed by LLMs • Implement evaluation, failure handling, and cost management for LLM features • Make architectural decisions and defend tradeoffs across speed, cost, complexity, and risk • Build highly available systems with sensible latency budgets, graceful degradation, and no single points of failure • Handle PII and financial data responsibly • Build automation and data pipelines supporting product features • Own deployment and operation of services • Help set the team's direction on AI tooling and approach • Define requirements in a greenfield, fast-moving environment • Own shipped work from prototype through production

🎯 Requirements

• Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript • Senior-level software engineering experience • Ability to design systems, review code, and debug unfamiliar codebases • Architectural judgment and ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers and non-engineers • Experience assessing risk in environments handling PII or financial data • Track record building highly available, scalable, performant systems • Experience shipping production code with AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code • Experience building and shipping LLM-backed features to real users, including agents or RAG pipelines • Practical judgment about where AI helps and where it does not • Experience owning deployments end-to-end on a PaaS such as Fly.io or Render • Ability to work with AWS or GCP when managed services are needed • Experience building automation and data workflows • Ability to move fast under real deadlines and work with ambiguous requirements • Motivation to build new features rather than support existing systems • Candidates must be located in Colombia or Costa Rica • Go experience is a plus • AI-assisted code review workflows are preferred • Evals, fine-tuning, or model training experience is preferred
