📋 Description

• Owning and shaping the performance of our credit portfolio. • Defining the strategies that balance growth, risk, and profitability. • Leading the direction of credit policy, pricing, and portfolio optimization. • Using data and market insights to guide high-impact decisions. • Driving portfolio performance, risk appetite, and policy direction. • Balancing competitiveness and profitability across segments. • Aligning credit strategy with Finance, Product, Sales, and Underwriting. • Ensuring analytics and data teams deliver business impact.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field required; advanced degree preferred • 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance • 3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role • Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, or non-prime environments preferred • Proven success in making pricing and credit decisions with measurable business impact • Experience operating at an executive level with clear cross-functional influence • Deep expertise in portfolio management, pricing strategy, and unit economics • Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit policy design, and segmentation • Ability to interpret and challenge analytical outputs without direct model ownership • Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools for data interpretation • Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, data vendors, and fraud tools.
