📋 Description

• Conduct and ensure the monthly accounting close within the established deadline (D+3) • Review and validate accounting entries, provisions and reclassifications • Analyze variances in results and balance sheet (BS) and profit & loss (P&L) • Ensure the integrity of reported information • Prepare and review individual and consolidated financial statements • Prepare explanatory notes in accordance with CPC/IFRS • Ensure consistency between the income statement (DRE), balance sheet, statement of changes in equity (DMPL) and cash flow statement (DFC) • Apply and interpret accounting standards (IFRS/CPC) • Support the implementation of new pronouncements/standards (e.g. CPC 51 / IFRS 18) • Prepare technical memoranda and accounting positions • Support internal and external audits • Reduce rework and increase efficiency in the closing process • Knowledge of taxes (IRPJ/CSLL – deferred and current)

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or a related field. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus. • Registered with the professional accounting council (CRC). • Experience in accounting; retail sector experience is an advantage, with strong knowledge of accounting standards. • Experience with inventory analysis; company consolidation; ability to prepare and review accounting entries, ensuring they comply with standards and accurately reflect the company’s operations. • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the pronouncements issued by the Brazilian Accounting Pronouncements Committee (CPC). • Ability to prepare and interpret reports that support strategic decision-making. • Competence in preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and management reports, analyzing results and recommending improvements. • Experience participating in internal and external audits, providing accurate information and collaborating to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
