H-CAP, Healthcare Career Advancement Program, is a national labor/management organization that collaborates with employers, unions, and workers to enhance the healthcare workforce. By providing workforce development, training resources, and strategic partnerships, H-CAP aims to deliver quality care and advance career pathways for frontline healthcare workers. The organization operates across 16 states plus Washington, DC, working with over 1,000 employers and impacting around 550,000 workers in various healthcare settings including home care, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, and hospitals. H-CAP is committed to increasing equity in the healthcare workforce and supporting its stakeholders in navigating changes within the industry.

📋 Description

• Manage and direct the work of a team of 13 fully remote staff members. • Manage the direct the budget and program of the H-CAP and the H-CAP Education Association, the 501(c)(3) partner of H-CAP. • Build and sustain an internal organizational culture aligned with H-CAP’s values, commitment to equity, and goal of becoming an anti-racist organization. • Lead strategic planning and coordination of H-CAP programs, projects, services, and policy initiatives. • Create and implement a long-term external funding strategy. • Prepare and present reports to the Board, Executive Committee, and external public and private funders.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or at least seven years of experience managing a large, complex nonprofit, association, government, or business entity. • Experience in healthcare workforce development, labor or trade associations, and union partnerships is strongly preferred. • Strong delegation and staff development skills, with experience leading and supporting a remote team.
