📋 Description

• This position creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. • May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. • Produces datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. • May perform research and assist in analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies. • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. • Contributes to the development of functional strategy. • Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. • Design and deliver sophisticated, external-facing reporting solutions that outline clear, actionable insights to our network of providers as well as internal stakeholders. • Leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, and Tableau) and healthcare industry knowledge to support and enhance client-facing engagements with HCSC’s largest Commercial customers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience OR PhD with 4 years of experience OR 12 years of experience • Understanding, and being highly proficient at querying a wide variety of internal and external data sources • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer languages, such as SQL, Python, R, etc. • Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. • High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to customer or partner execution. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to lead multiple analytic related projects in parallel. • Analytics subject matter expert. • Performance excellence in championing initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to life. • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality output to senior leadership
