• Interface with internal and external resources to provide guidance regarding benefit plan options. • Answer incoming calls and respond to benefit inquiries. • Place outbound follow-up calls for unresolved issues. • Provide guidance to members on open enrollment issues and questions. • Connect with members by phone and develop a rapport to help navigate their benefit choices. • Review plan options and costs for members considering health insurance plans, Marketplace plans, COBRA, and Medicare plans. • Document all benefit issues thoroughly and maintain department files.
• High School Degree or GED required • Time spent in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted in lieu of experience requirements • Associate’s degree preferred in business administration, liberal arts, public health, healthcare management, or a related field. • Minimum of one year customer service, healthcare, or employee benefits experience required. • Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel required. • Ability to pass standardized interview. • Based on assignment may need to be bilingual in English, Spanish, etc.
