📋 Description

• Take ownership of supplier development and quality management across our supplier network China. • Collaborate closely with the Head of Supply Chain and senior leaders from design engineering, NPI, reliability and manufacturing to drive strategic supplier partnerships. • Ensure the technical success of Heron’s supply chain, overseeing supplier performance and implementing supplier quality systems. • Oversee supplier qualification, process development, production ramp, and industrialization efforts, including process validation, PPAP, APQP, DFM, root cause analysis, manufacturing readiness, and continuous quality improvement. • Develop Heron’s supplier capabilities through technical capability assessments and manufacturing process improvement initiatives. • Facilitate clear communication of technical requirements between suppliers and Heron’s GSM, design and manufacturing teams. • Drive supplier DFM reviews, assembly stack-up tolerance analysis and ensure assembly processes can meet design requirements. • Identify and drive cost reduction activities by utilizing process, material optimization, and yield improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in supplier development and/or supplier quality • BS degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or demonstrable equivalent experience and exceptional ability. • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical, electrical (including PCB and PCBA), or electro-mechanical components and assemblies. • Skilled in performing detailed drawing reviews, tolerance stack-ups, metrology, and statistical data analysis techniques including SPC, DOE, and sampling plans. • Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally often with short notice.
