Hip Hop Caucus is a U. S. -based advocacy organization that uses hip-hop culture and artistic expression to mobilize and empower communities—especially Black, Brown and Indigenous people—around racial, economic and climate justice. For over two decades it has run campaigns and programs focused on climate justice (Think100%), voting rights (Respect My Vote! ), civil and human rights (Good Trouble Dept. ), and economic justice (Justice Paid in Full). The organization combines art-driven outreach, grassroots organizing, public campaigns, and media/production to reach millions and coordinate online and in-person actions.

📋 Description

• Own grant writing including research, proposal writing, tracking, and reporting requirements • Help design and stand up a new mid-size individual donor program • Support the cultivation and stewardship of institutional and individual prospects • Partner with the Development Marketing Specialist to produce multi-channel fundraising campaigns • Directly supervise the Development Marketing Specialist • Support fundraising and legal compliance related to Hip Hop Caucus's C3/C4 structure

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience • Proficiency with a CRM/fundraising database (EveryAction/NGP VAN strongly preferred) • Strong writing and proofreading skills • Familiarity with digital fundraising channels • Comfort working with financial data and reconciliation processes
