📋 Description

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our remote team. • This role will focus on supporting a variety of small business and service-based clients, with an initial emphasis on catch-up and cleanup work. • You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, ensuring accuracy in client accounts, and collaborating closely with team members to build and refine accounting processes. • The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong experience in QuickBooks Online, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively within a remote team structure. • Key Responsibilities • Perform daily transaction coding and categorization in QuickBooks Online • Complete bank reconciliations across multiple client accounts to ensure accuracy • Prepare financial statements and ensure proper account classifications • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies (e.g., negative liability accounts) • Support catch-up and cleanup projects for clients with backlog work • Apply basic accounting theory to correctly categorize expenses vs. cost of goods sold • Maintain organized digital filing systems using Google Drive and Canopy Tax • Work individually and/or with the assistance of a Bookkeeper to complete assigned tasks • Coordinate with the Team Lead/Manager to provide input and help solidify standardized accounting processes (e.g., for a continuity binder)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field • CPA certification • Mid to senior-level experience in bookkeeping and accounting • Proficient in QuickBooks Online • Strong English communication skills with a neutral accent • Experience working with American companies (preferred) • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and research skills • Familiarity with Google Suite and cloud-based workflows
