📋 Description

• Service and repair air conditioning systems (HVAC) on all Sandvik equipment on site • Analyze, prepare, plan and carry out small to medium sized improvements on machines and equipment, including major sized improvements if necessary • Place orders for parts in liaison with supervisor and warehouse supervisor • Lead actions performed by contractors working on related systems when necessary • Conduct preventive maintenance and perform corrective actions • Support planning and preparation, monitor outcomes, and document outcomes, root causes, time, and improvements • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures • Achieve maintenance targets • Follow quality and cleanliness standards • Communicate operational status and deviations • Meet safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements • Attend training and implement continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level

🎯 Requirements

• Craft Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification • Advanced Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is an added advantage • Full Secondary/grade 12 certificate • Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) • At least five years’ hands-on experience working in a similar role with exposure to air conditioning systems in mobile equipment • Unrestricted valid driver’s licence with at least 2 years driving experience • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Commitment to delivering high-quality service that meets client expectations • Must be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment, including meeting all customer vaccination requirements
