• Conduct regular rate indication analyses and make recommendations to the CUO and Underwriting team for rate adjustments • Analyze loss performance of Honeycomb’s product and make recommendations to drive growth and improve profitability • Conduct quarterly reserves to develop ultimate loss ratios by line of business • Act as a liaison to Honeycomb’s capital and reinsurance partners to align profitability performance and goals • Act as the data owner for the Underwriting team to ensure that the team has high quality data and the right access to drive decisions • Establish key performance indicators and develop reporting to ensure the health of Honeycomb’s business • Assist the Underwriting team with product filings to ensure successful rate and product approvals with state Departments of Insurance for admitted products • Drive business and pricing segmentation initiatives to leverage pricing as a key product differentiator and competitive advantage
• 10 years+ of actuarial experience related to pricing or reserving with an insurance carrier or MGA • Bachelor's degree • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) highly preferred • Excellent analytical skills • Good presentation skill and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization • Ability to distill key actuarial concepts to others in non-technical terms • Ability to understand the business holistically and think strategically
