📋 Description

• Design and build integrations between Engine’s billing system and major ERP platforms including QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage, Xero, and Oracle Fusion • Work directly with external vendors to navigate APIs, attend architectural onboarding sessions, and obtain integration design approval • Own the full integration lifecycle from vendor demos through production and ongoing support • Lay the architecture for future expense management integrations such as Expensify and Concur • Collaborate with the billing team and internal accounting stakeholders to ensure accurate, reliable line-of-credit-to-ERP flows • Use Claude and/or Cursor as the primary development environment • Drive design and implementation of greenfield services replacing legacy code with modern microservices, strong test coverage, and production-grade observability • Enable product teams by building and maintaining integrations • Translate accounting requirements into engineering solutions with other teams

🎯 Requirements

• Strong system design skills, including architectural decision-making, tradeoff analysis, and infrastructure-level thinking • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical problems to accountants and business operations stakeholders • Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar as a primary coding interface • Proven experience shipping complex systems, not only individual features • Java or Kotlin experience preferred by the team • FinTech, payments, fraud, or billing systems experience is nice to have • ERP or accounting integrations experience is nice to have • Terraform, Datadog, or Splunk experience is nice to have
