• Act as EHS subject matter expert to ensure safety and environmental compliance • Assist the EHS Director in prioritizing EHS focus areas/plants • Develop safety improvement plans and implement action items • Conduct regular site visits to verify progress towards established goals • Support and participate in risk reduction activities to manage claims and reduce injuries • Communicate with government agencies, plant leaders, and segment leaders • Assist in evaluating and reviewing expense or capital projects • Lead and direct Safety and Environmental Kaizens • Conduct safety and environmental audits/inspections
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education credentials in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or relevant technical/engineering discipline • A minimum of 7-10 years of increasing EHS responsibility including leadership experience • Proven ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization • Detail oriented, compliance minded, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effective communication are essential skills • Basic proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook • Benchmark experience is desired.
• 50% - 75% travel required • Ability to work remote and/or work at a Hubbell location
