📋 Description

• Manage the end-to-end accounting function for a portfolio of Australian SME clients using Xero • Perform daily transaction coding, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations • Manage prepayments, accruals, depreciation schedules, journal entries, intercompany transactions, loan accounts, and multi-entity eliminations • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes • Lead month-end close processes • Prepare monthly management packs including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, variance analysis, and operational KPIs • Write commentary on performance drivers, cost spikes, and margin risks • Build and maintain rolling 12-month three-way cash flow forecasts • Monitor working capital and support scenario modelling • Present recommendations and explain financial insights to client founders • Process client payrolls in Xero Payroll and manage STP Phase 2 reporting and finalisations • Reconcile and submit superannuation guarantee payments • Prepare BAS/IAS working papers and year-end workpaper files • Implement modern tools, Xero add-ons, AI tools, and workflow automation • Refine operating procedures, checklists, and reporting templates

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a Filipino (Philippines-based) candidate • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline • Ideally professionally qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification • 3–5+ years' accounting experience • Strong experience with Xero • Experience supporting Australian businesses • Strong understanding of Australian accounting practices • Experience with BAS, GST and Australian tax processes • Strong month-end reporting experience • Experience preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports • Strong Excel skills • Experience with cash flow forecasting • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal English • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Availability for meetings and collaboration during core AEST or PHT business hours • Disclosure of any existing ongoing roles or client work • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
