📋 Description

• Process supplier invoices through Ezzybill and Hubdoc into Xero with correct account and GST coding • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts in Simpro and follow up on discrepancies • Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve missing or unmatched invoices • Prepare weekly payment runs for approval • Set up and maintain supplier records, with bank-detail changes verified by the Australian team • Invoice completed jobs in Simpro, including progress claims • Clear completed jobs that have not yet been invoiced • Monitor Simpro-to-Xero synchronization and resolve errors • Follow up debtors weekly by email and phone and allocate customer payments • Reconcile all bank accounts in Xero daily • Maintain bank rules and flag unusual transactions • Follow documented procedures and help keep them updated • Use provided AI and automation tools and handle flagged exceptions • Prepare transactions for approval by the Australian finance controller without bank login or payment release access

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounts experience with Australian clients • Strong, hands-on Xero experience covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation • Sound understanding of Australian GST coding, including GST on expenses, GST-free transactions and capital purchases • Experience reconciling supplier statements and following up debtors • Excellent written and spoken English • Confidence phoning Australian customers • High attention to detail • Comfortable working to documented procedures • Experience with Simpro or another field service or job management system such as ServiceM8, AroFlo or Ascora (desirable) • Experience with Ezzybill, Hubdoc or Dext (desirable) • Exposure to construction, trades or electrical industries, including progress claims and retentions (desirable) • Bookkeeping or accounting qualification (desirable) • Must disclose existing ongoing roles or client work • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
