📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities across multiple Australian business entities • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and expense records • Perform regular bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations • Maintain accurate financial records and correctly categorise transactions • Review accounting records and identify discrepancies or missing information • Assist with GST tracking, BAS preparation, and other Australian bookkeeping requirements • Prepare regular financial reports and bookkeeping summaries • Maintain and organise accounting systems, primarily MYOB, with some Xero • Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and accounting workflows • Coordinate with the business owner and external accountants when required

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience • Previous experience supporting Australian businesses • Good understanding of Australian bookkeeping requirements, including GST and BAS • Hands-on experience with MYOB; Xero experience is an advantage • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations • Ability to review and organise accounting records and improve existing processes • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy • Ability to work independently and manage multiple business accounts • Good written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to align with AU business hours, approximately 9 AM–5 PM, Monday to Friday
