📋 Description

• Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, including data models, integration patterns, and platform standards across cloud and on-prem environments • Lead architecture for complex data initiatives involving data lakes, data warehouses, streaming platforms, and analytics ecosystems • Define, document, and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and reference architectures • Partner with Data Engineering, BI, AI/ML, and Product teams to translate business requirements into analytics solutions, reports, dashboards, and data products • Perform deep-dive data analysis, troubleshoot data quality and pipeline issues, and resolve data integrity gaps within Microsoft Fabric • Manage analytical transformation logic and data models using dbt or ADF • Embed security, privacy, and governance requirements into architecture designs • Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling for analytical and enterprise use cases • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects and engineers • Review solution designs and implementations • Support performance optimization, cost efficiency, modernization, and data quality improvement initiatives • Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience • 6–8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics platform roles • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms across cloud and on-prem environments • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Pipelines, and Power BI • Strong SQL and advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling expertise • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, data integration/orchestration tools, and modern ELT/ETL frameworks • Strong hands-on experience with dbt Cloud or dbt Core, including model development, testing, documentation, and deployment • Demonstrated root-cause analysis, debugging, dataset validation, and data quality resolution skills • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Synapse • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, lineage, access controls, compliance, systems administration, and Microsoft operating systems/products • Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, leadership, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Microsoft Windows and Office proficiency • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments • Ability to mentor, coach, train, and provide timely feedback • Up to 10% travel required; an earlier section states up to 15% travel time required
