📋 Description

• Clarify customer problems collaboratively and develop robust technical options • Make value, effort, feasibility, and risks visible before building • Develop production-ready solutions with AI agents • Review relevant changes and take ownership of agent-generated code • Work on legacy systems and new AI applications • Ensure stable operations, measurable impact, and continuous improvement after go-live • Own technical solutions from problem understanding through production operation • Ensure code quality and approval, regardless of who or what created it • Develop maintainable, tested, and traceable systems • Make technical decisions within engineering standards • Take responsibility for security, stability, and troubleshooting in production • Own the architecture of a system or domain (Senior) • Lead solution design in direct customer engagement (Senior) • Make technical trade-offs between value, effort, and feasibility (Senior) • Share knowledge and create reusable solutions for the team (Senior) • Provide recommendations on standards, technical effort, feasibility, project priorities, operations, and impact • Build and operate shops, self-service journeys, content management systems, and AI applications with a team of around 25 developers

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of professional development experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack engineering • As a Senior Engineer: take responsibility for systems, domains, and architectural decisions through to production operations • Use AI agents as an integral part of the engineering workflow, including context, tools, review loops, and accountability for production code • Excellent expertise in at least one area: frontend, backend, or full-stack • Ability to work beyond your own technical discipline • Ability to assess the effort, value, feasibility, and risks of technical options and make well-founded recommendations • As a Senior Engineer: design solutions directly with customers • Share knowledge within the team and during reviews • As a Senior Engineer: strengthen other engineers technically and create reusable solutions • Frontend: a strong sense of good UX • Backend: build interfaces people enjoy using • Fluent German for customer-facing work • Confident English skills • Frontend expertise in TypeScript, React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt, modern CSS, design systems, WCAG, performance, and REST/GraphQL • Backend expertise in TypeScript with Node.js/NestJS or Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and REST/GraphQL • Elixir/Phoenix is a plus • Willingness and ability to build expertise in agentic development beyond your own discipline • Interest in and ability to measure impact, define target metrics, and implement observability • Developing AI applications with LLM integration, RAG, evaluation, and guardrails as a skill to be further developed • Managing the cost and quality of AI systems as a skill to be further developed • Build under stringent requirements for data privacy, security, and accessibility • Interest in the domains of commerce, self-service, content production, digital assistants, and knowledge and learning systems • Professional statement addressing the specified role- and project-related questions
