📋 Description

• Analyze requirements and RFCs and develop efficient software designs • Participate in determining the future direction of satellite systems and related products across software architecture, infrastructure performance, testing, and reliability • Document, design, develop, test, and integrate software functionality for satellite-system components and related environments within an Agile framework • Collaborate on design and validation with a multifunctional Scrum team of software, firmware, embedded, application, and test engineers • Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during software deployment and provide resolutions • Mentor junior team members • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, a related subject area, or equivalent experience • 3+ years of industry experience in programming and software engineering • Hands-on experience developing, designing, and testing multi-threaded and multi-process applications on Linux • Strong working knowledge of C++ • Detailed knowledge of object-oriented design and programming • Proven experience solving real-time embedded issues, including threading, optimization, memory management, interrupt handling, and multi-core/multi-CPU environments • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP) and sockets programming • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to work in a structured development environment and demonstrate technical leadership potential • Ability to proactively drive technical solutions collaboratively • Strong software design, object-oriented design, and object-oriented programming skills • Demonstrated experience developing quality and maintainable software • Strong documentation, writing, and presentation skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment • Working knowledge of UML strongly desirable • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices throughout the software development life cycle • Experience with GDB and Valgrind • Experience with version control systems such as Git strongly desired • Experience with Jira and Jenkins desired • Experience developing unit, integration, and functional tests, including test automation in a CI/CD pipeline desired • Shell scripting or Python desired • Experience or knowledge in satellite/terrestrial communications systems desired • Understanding of 3GPP standards and 5G architecture desired • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure desired
