📋 Description

• Support implementation of Gulf Sustain’s 2027 strategy and contribute to development of a post-2027 programme strategy • Grow Gulf Sustain’s profile through stakeholder identification, relationship management, and trust building • Serve as a programme and IHRB spokesperson at external events and networking opportunities • Organise and facilitate multilateral and sectoral convenings, including outreach, stakeholder management, agenda development, event summaries, and follow-up • Deliver training and capacity-building sessions on responsible business and worker welfare to business and government stakeholders across the GCC • Provide informal advisory services to key partners on internal policies, worker welfare frameworks, and responsible recruitment strategies • Identify Gulf Sustain funding opportunities and build relationships with potential donors • Develop funding proposals, strategies, and donor deliverables with Gulf Sustain and IHRB teams • Contribute to day-to-day programme management, team calls, Steering Committee meetings, presentations, and external consultant management • Collaborate with IHRB’s Migrant Workers, Shipping, Commodities, and Just Transitions Programmes • Monitor progress against the monitoring and evaluation framework, deliverables, and planned activities • Oversee execution of Gulf Sustain’s communications strategy and website with the communications team • Identify and develop initiatives and pilot workstreams for the post-2027 strategy • Identify practical leverage points to influence policy and decision-making by business leaders and policymakers • Represent Gulf Sustain through events, strategic dialogues, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement across the GCC

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable experience contributing to management of multi-partner projects spanning countries and years • Proven track record identifying opportunities or leverage points for engaging diverse stakeholder groups • Proven track record contributing to a communications strategy and creating content/key messages • Ability to write and present clear, well-researched content based on internal briefings • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required • Ability to work with awareness of political and commercial sensitivities and careful diplomacy • Candidates must be based in the GCC or within easy access to travel across the GCC on a semi-regular basis • Candidates must already have permission to work in the country of their location • Deep expertise in at least one GCC country • Willingness and ability to travel across the GCC, sometimes at short notice • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role is advantageous, not required • Strong knowledge of the GCC region • Strong interest or understanding of responsible business, worker welfare, shipping and trade, responsible investment, or related issues is advantageous • Strong writing and research skills are advantageous • Proven experience with topics relevant to or actors operating in the GCC region is advantageous • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic is advantageous
