• Has built a strong design portfolio with both static and motion work, and you know the difference between pretty and effective. • Understands design principles, branding, and digital marketing well enough to make decisions, not just execute them. • Is comfortable in After Effects, Figma, or similar tools, and can add motion without it feeling like an afterthought. • Uses AI design tools like Midjourney, Firefly, or Runway as a real part of your workflow, not just something you've tried once. • Has worked in product marketing or close enough to it that you get why the visual has to serve the message. • Figures things out fast and doesn't wait to be told exactly how, you're scrappy by default. • Communicates clearly with product, marketing, and content teams without losing anything in translation. • Sees a messy brief or shifting priority as a puzzle, not a problem. • Can run several projects at once and still ship work that looks considered.
