📋 Description

• Lead responsibility for accounting preparation and month-end closing • Gradual insourcing of the accounting function currently managed externally • Key contribution to the NetSuite implementation, including process design, data migration, and system logic • Reporting to management and the parent company, SAMY Group • Providing accounting expertise and supporting the development of the Accounting team • Establishing processes and structures for insourcing and NetSuite • Helping shape the automation and reporting landscape

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of in-depth accounting experience in day-to-day operations, as well as in building and developing robust processes • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); able to prepare financial statements or produce closing-ready materials for the tax advisor • Completed degree in business administration, economics, or a related field with a focus on accounting, or passed the German Certified Balance Sheet Accountant examination with equivalent in-depth professional experience • Sound understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and double-entry bookkeeping • Excellent IT skills • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets • Proven experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred • SQL proficiency is a plus • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet tight deadlines • Fluent German and English; German at least at C1 level • Confident, pragmatic, and efficient use of AI tools • Independent, structured, reliable, and results-oriented working style in a remote setup • Willingness to take a hands-on approach and provide technical leadership without direct personnel responsibility • Nice to have: Experience in an agency, scale-up, or medium-sized service company
