📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of software engineers delivering AI-powered analytics and insights capabilities • Own execution across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support • Partner with Product, AI/ML, Data, and business stakeholders to translate strategy and customer needs into engineering priorities and deliverables • Establish architecture and engineering approaches for scalable backend services, APIs, data processing, and AI-enabled applications • Drive predictable delivery by managing priorities, dependencies, risks, and obstacles • Ensure quality, scalability, reliability, performance, security, observability, and maintainability • Establish software engineering practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, monitoring, and production readiness • Foster collaboration among software engineers, AI/ML engineers, data engineers, product managers, and other technical teams • Integrate AI-generated insights and supporting services into production products and customer experiences • Monitor team and system performance and drive continuous improvement • Set goals and expectations, provide coaching, feedback, and performance management • Support engineers' professional development and career growth • Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain engineering talent • Build an inclusive, accountable team culture • Stay current with AI, analytics, data platforms, and software engineering developments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including experience leading or managing software engineers • Experience leading engineering teams responsible for developing and operating production software • Strong technical foundation in backend software development, APIs, distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern software engineering practices • Experience managing software development through the full lifecycle • Ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery across complex technical initiatives • Experience setting goals, providing feedback, coaching engineers, and supporting individual performance and career development • Experience recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding software engineering talent • Ability to partner effectively with Product Management and translate product and business objectives into engineering plans • Understanding of software quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and operational excellence • Working knowledge of AWS or Azure and modern cloud-based application architectures • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Experience working with Agile development methodologies and frameworks
