📋 Description
• Uphold the qualification’s academic integrity • Support students • Develop academic content • Evaluate, moderate, and assess learning • Support SAE Institute’s vision and mission • Facilitate animation and motion design learning for the SAE Institute Distance online Campus • Collaborate with fellow lecturers and the HOA to support students
🎯 Requirements
• A Masters (NQF Level 9) related qualification essential • Initial bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in a related field such as Animation and Motion Design or Digital Arts • Minimum of 2 years lecturing or teaching experience within higher education • Experience in 2D or 3D animation preferred, minimum of 2 years • Experience in online facilitation and workshop facilitation in an academic or training environment preferred, minimum of 2 years • Knowledge and experience in 2D tradigital and cutout animation and relevant software • Preferably Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe software suite, particularly Photoshop; possibly Adobe Animate or similar 2D animation software • Knowledge and experience in 3D animation, sculpting, and software, preferably Blender • Online facilitation experience beneficial • Fundamental understanding of curriculum and assessment management and improvement and gradebook management • Proficient in Learning Management Systems and MS Office computer software • Strong administrative ability • Skills in either storyboarding, asset creation/concept art for games, or motion graphics • Communication, interpersonal, administration, organization, and time-management skills • Collaborative approach and willingness to work with fellow lecturers and the HOA • Knowledge of academic compliance within the higher education sector • Proficient in computer software, apps, social media, and technology in general
