📋 Description
• Our Virtual High School Teachers are responsible for ensuring that students achieve mastery of learning objectives. • They provide guidance, instruction and support, manage the learning process and focus on students’ individual needs. • The Virtual Teacher is a highly qualified instructional teacher responsible for the delivery of specified course content in an online, virtual environment. • Orienting students to their courses and communicating course and school requirements. • Support homeroom students with general school information, schedule set-up, monitor student attendance and progress throughout the program. • Provide small group and direct instruction to students of course content. • Implement student’s IEP’s and attend IEP conferences as needed. • Face to Face meetings with students and teaching adult as scheduled. • Grade student work and enter grades into an online grade book in a timely manner (no more than 3 days without an update in grade book).
🎯 Requirements
• Permanent California Residence (within 1 of the 17 counties we hire in: Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Orange, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura.) • Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science: Chemistry • California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC • Bachelor's degree • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge • Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organization and time-management skills • Excellent writing and grammar skills • Flexible schedule • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint and experience using them in a professional capacity.
