📋 Description

• Assess the existing data platform for performance, scalability, modeling, and data quality issues • Design short-term improvements and define the long-term target data architecture • Redesign fact tables, dimensions, and star schemas to improve performance and reduce duplication • Architect batch and incremental data processing patterns, including incremental reporting refresh • Work with structured, semi-structured, unstructured, and file-based data • Assess and recommend Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Data Lake, and Lakehouse technologies • Improve the scalability and maintainability of Azure SQL and Power BI solutions • Support analytics and AI use cases, including natural-language interaction with enterprise data • Troubleshoot data issues and provide actionable architectural recommendations • Produce technical architectures, documentation, and implementation guides • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders from planning through implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience as a Data Architect or Data Solutions Architect on complex enterprise data platforms • Proven ability to design and implement solutions for unstructured data and multiple file formats • Deep knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks • Expert knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, fact tables, star schemas, and analytics architectures • Hands-on experience solving performance and scalability challenges • Proficiency in ETL/ELT, batch processing, incremental ingestion, and incremental refresh • Familiarity with Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and modern cloud data platform patterns • Experience building data models optimized for Power BI • Ability to evaluate technology choices based on performance, data volume, complexity, maintainability, and cost • Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently, quickly understand new environments, and create actionable architectural plans • Fluent English • Full-time availability, 40 hours per week • Contract or B2B arrangement
