📋 Description

• Oversee mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and operations • Direct and supervise mechanical crews, contractors, and technicians on-site for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems • Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans to ensure proper installation and compliance with design intent • Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections of mechanical work including systems testing, commissioning, and performance verification • Ensure all work meets local building codes, mechanical codes, fire codes, and environmental regulations • Interface with local authorities, building departments, and inspection agencies for permit approvals and regulatory inspections • Prepare detailed progress reports, inspection reports, and status updates for project management and clients • Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure OSHA compliance on mechanical work areas • Identify and resolve mechanical system issues, design conflicts, and installation challenges in real-time • Coordinate and oversee mechanical subcontractors, ensuring work quality and schedule adherence • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, warranties, and as-built conditions • Participate in system startup, testing, and commissioning activities • Communicate with building owners, facility managers, and end users regarding mechanical systems operation

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years mechanical supervision experience in commercial, industrial (Manufacturing/Clean Lab), or institutional projects (DC is a plus point) • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems design and installation • Thorough knowledge of local mechanical codes, building codes, and inspection requirements • Proven ability to prepare clear, detailed reports for various stakeholders • Experience conducting field inspections and quality control activities • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage multiple mechanical contractors • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical education • Associate Engineer License (at minimum) •Professional licenses (PE, contractor's license) bonus • Experience with BIM/3D modeling coordination
