⢠Oversee mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and operations ⢠Direct and supervise mechanical crews, contractors, and technicians on-site for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems ⢠Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans to ensure proper installation and compliance with design intent ⢠Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections of mechanical work including systems testing, commissioning, and performance verification ⢠Ensure all work meets local building codes, mechanical codes, fire codes, and environmental regulations ⢠Interface with local authorities, building departments, and inspection agencies for permit approvals and regulatory inspections ⢠Prepare detailed progress reports, inspection reports, and status updates for project management and clients ⢠Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure OSHA compliance on mechanical work areas ⢠Identify and resolve mechanical system issues, design conflicts, and installation challenges in real-time ⢠Coordinate and oversee mechanical subcontractors, ensuring work quality and schedule adherence ⢠Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, warranties, and as-built conditions ⢠Participate in system startup, testing, and commissioning activities ⢠Communicate with building owners, facility managers, and end users regarding mechanical systems operation
⢠Minimum 5+ years mechanical supervision experience in commercial, industrial (Manufacturing/Clean Lab), or institutional projects (DC is a plus point) ⢠Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems design and installation ⢠Thorough knowledge of local mechanical codes, building codes, and inspection requirements ⢠Proven ability to prepare clear, detailed reports for various stakeholders ⢠Experience conducting field inspections and quality control activities ⢠Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage multiple mechanical contractors ⢠Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical education ⢠Associate Engineer License (at minimum) â˘Professional licenses (PE, contractor's license) bonus ⢠Experience with BIM/3D modeling coordination
