📋 Description

• Produce every daily email newsletter across local markets, growing from one to 3–5 newsletters per day • Write and publish approximately 5–15 blog posts per week across markets • Decide which stories appear in each newsletter using human judgment over automated feeds • Use the AI writing system to draft, edit, and proofread stories in the company’s style and tone • Feed edits back into the AI tool to train and improve it over time • Monitor breaking local news and adjust newsletters late in the day when stories break • Coordinate with the social media team by sharing content strategy and direction • Ensure every weekday newsletter is accurate, fully proofread, and ready for publication by 6:00 a.m. US Eastern Time • Maintain strong editorial coverage and avoid factual errors and typos • Develop content ideas and adapt quickly as newsletters launch in new cities

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent English writing skills with a creative, witty, casual tone • Hands-on experience using AI/LLM tools for content drafting, editing, or research • Editorial judgment to identify factual errors, weak reasoning, and tone problems • Strong attention to detail, with no typos or factual errors • Ability to reliably meet a daily 6:00 a.m. US Eastern publishing deadline • Persuasive copywriting skills are a bonus • Marketing experience or ability to identify monetizable content opportunities is a bonus • Master's degree in English or local equivalent is a bonus • Journalism experience or degree is a bonus • Detail-oriented, creative, witty, proactive, and able to generate content ideas • Ability to adapt quickly when launching newsletters in unfamiliar cities • Willingness to work remotely as an independent contractor • Availability for a full-time primary role with no freelancing or second jobs
