📋 Description

• Maintain accurate patient records • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism via all communication methods, including: phone, video, email, slack, text, and patient portal messages • Complete a high volume of prior authorizations • Perform clinical administrative functions within scope of certification • Following provider instructions, demonstrate accurate, timely, and efficient follow through with pharmacy refills, obtaining, reporting and tracking of lab results, medical records, leaving phone messages, and responding to patient messages • Remain in compliance with HIPAA, and protect all patient health information (PHI) in accordance with Federal and state regulation

🎯 Requirements

• National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) from NHA, AMT OR AAMA required • Prior experience utilizing the CoverMyMeds system required • Experience submitting prior authorizations for weight loss medications electronically and over the phone required • 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (post externship)- huge plus if you have telehealth and/or remote work experience! • 2+ years of current ATHENA ONE outpatient EMR experience required (Must have used Athena in 2024 and 2025), 5+ years of overall EMR experience.
