📋 Description

• Build and lead the People Operations team by hiring, coaching, and developing People Operations Managers • Organize ownership across countries and specialties with backups for every critical task • Own payroll, contracts, benefits, time off, and onboarding/offboarding administration across France, Spain, and the US • Project headcount growth 18 months ahead and build country playbooks, clean organizational data, and reliable workforce reporting • Own the HRIS and people data as a single source of truth • Automate People Operations processes using AI and BizOps support • Improve the employee-facing experience of People Operations processes • Ensure compliance with French and Spanish labor law and anticipate regulatory changes • Maintain documentation for audits, fundraising, and due diligence • Deliver fast, accurate, discreet employee interactions and accessible policies • Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliation, headcount, and budget actuals • Partner with Legal, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace Management • Report to the VP People and manage a People Operations team of two managers currently, four soon

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in People Operations or HR • Several years managing a team • Experience in high-growth tech startups or scale-ups • Experience building or rebuilding a People Operations function • Deep command of French payroll and labor law • Exposure to Spanish or US employment matters is a strong plus • Experience owning an HRIS • Ability to design processes that hold up at 3x headcount • Rigorous data quality standards • Analytical skills with headcount, payroll, and budget actuals • Precision, organization, and reliability • Entrepreneurial mindset in fast-moving, ambiguous environments • Daily use of AI tools and a point of view on People Ops automation • Ability to handle sensitive matters with absolute integrity and discretion • People management and coaching ability • Hands-on ability to run a payroll cycle if needed • Fluent in French • Fluent in English • Based in France or Spain
