📋 Description

• Oversee the end-to-end review process from manuscript submission to final editorial decision. • Manage and mentor a team of Review Editors, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. • Provide training, feedback, and performance tracking to ensure team success and publication growth. • Monitor key performance metrics, including time to first decision, reviewer turnaround, and acceptance rates. • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency. • Develop strategies to improve reviewer engagement, retention, and turnaround times. • Work closely with Editorial, Production, and Content teams to ensure a seamless publication process. • Explore and implement AI and automation tools to enhance review efficiency and quality.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Life Science. • 5+ years of experience in academic/scientific publishing, with deep expertise in review workflows. • Proven experience managing review teams and meeting publishing deadlines. • Strong understanding of single-blind, double-blind, and open review models and open access publishing. • Hands-on experience with manuscript management systems; Editorial Manager preferred. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex scientific feedback. • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
