📋 Description
• Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems • Analyze failures, determine causes, evaluate quality of construction • Perform field investigations and lead documentation of damaged property • Research failure modes and provide repair recommendations • Prepare reports and documentation for clients • Participate in multidisciplinary teams on large assignments
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum of 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience within insurance or legal forensics • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Willingness to participate in expert witness work and provide court testimony • Flexibility to travel approximately 30–50%
