📋 Description
• The role involves maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). • This includes overseeing data governance, defining the structure of the configuration management system, such as identifying Configuration Items (CIs), establishing naming standards, defining relationships, and supervising mapping and discovery activities. • You will be critical in improving incident and problem management, streamlining change processes, optimising asset utilisation, mitigating risks, and aligning IT infrastructure with strategic business goals. • Ensure accurate CMDB development, implementation, and maintenance to support IT service management processes. • Leads, educates and mentors critical stakeholders on developing and maintaining configuration management services, concepts, policies and procedures to deliver accurate reporting and metrics as needed. • Providing advice and support during system deployments to ensure that change impacts across configuration items are understood and managed. • Generate reports and insights from the CMDB to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of proven experience in managing a CMDB in ServiceNow. • Experience building CMDB in the technology industry or within technical groups within a large, global organisation. • Experience with ServiceNow configuration management and Service Mapping. • A strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data management principles. • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
