📋 Description

• Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences • Write reusable, testable, efficient code for scalable, revenue-critical systems while maintaining safety and security • Collaborate on large-scale distributed-systems architecture and translate product requirements into resilient, low-latency solutions • Develop features and maintain Kraken Consumer applications for simple customer interaction with Kraken • Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and constraints • Take end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries • Mentor other engineers and contribute to the technical culture

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience • Proficiency writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust • Security-first mindset in system design • Ability to autonomously debug across the OS, network, and application stack • Solid understanding of distributed systems • Knowledge of RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven systems • Ability to collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and constraints • Ability to take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries • Ability to mentor other engineers and help define technical culture
