📋 Description

• Provide accurate, consecutive interpretation primarily in medical settings. • Facilitate crucial communication in social services and financial contexts. • Initially focus on Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI), with a clear pathway to advance into Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year minimum of professional experience in remote medical interpretation. • English Proficiency: Minimum C1 fluency. We accept valid certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE. • Medical Interpretation Certification: You must provide proof of medical interpreter knowledge issued within the last 12 months. Accepted certifications include ALTA. • Spanish fluency: Minimum score of 9 required. • Core Skills: Complete mastery of medical and customer service terminology. • Compliance: Must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications. • Background Check: Willingness to successfully complete a standard background check via email. • Technical & Workspace Requirements: A hardwired Ethernet connection directly to your router is mandatory (Wi-Fi is strictly prohibited). A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is required. Minimum of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM. The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is needed. A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
