📋 Description
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, treasury support, and financial reporting • Own the full accounts payable cycle in NetSuite, including bill entry, coding, purchase order matching, approvals, payment preparation, reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, payment runs, and remittance records • Own invoicing and cash application across direct-to-consumer, retail, and commercial channels • Manage collections, resolve unapplied payments and credits, reconcile customer accounts, and provide AR aging commentary • Manage monthly close and prepare accruals, prepaid amortization, fixed asset and depreciation entries, recurring journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation • Analyze and explain material month-over-month fluctuations and improve the close process • Record inventory receipts, investigate receiving discrepancies, calculate and allocate landed costs, and reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger • Accrue and reconcile customs and tariff obligations and investigate inventory variances • Prepare borrowing base certificates, support credit-facility reporting, track covenant requirements, and support the rolling 13-week cash forecast • Prepare daily and weekly cash position reporting across bank accounts • Manage expense reports, corporate card coding, vendor onboarding documentation, finance files, master data, and SOP creation and maintenance • Take ownership of AP, AR, close, inventory, and treasury processes and identify process improvements
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years at a senior or supervisory level • Proven full-cycle accounting experience • Personally managed or owned a month-end close • Experience with inventory accounting in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or e-commerce • Hands-on experience with NetSuite; experience with Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or SAP Business One may also be considered • Professional written and spoken English fluency • Comfortable communicating directly with U.S. vendors and customers • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, large-file reconciliations, and complex workbooks • Strong attention to detail and ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies • Preferred: experience with international imports, customs duties, tariffs, landed costs, and brokerage • Preferred: exposure to asset-based lending, borrowing base certificates, eligibility testing, or covenant reporting • Preferred: multi-entity or multi-currency accounting and consolidation experience • Preferred: Shopify or other e-commerce accounting experience • Preferred: Contador Público or equivalent local accounting qualification • Minimum 6 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Central Time • Advanced proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
