📋 Description

• Perform light and full post-editing on machine translation outputs according to client specifications • Ensure target text correctly reflects the source meaning • Correct and optimize text based on machine translation output • Follow post-editing guidelines and meet client quality standards • Perform linguistic tasks using project instructions, translation memory, glossaries, style guides, and other references • Maintain grammatical accuracy, key terminology, cultural appropriateness, formatting, tagging, punctuation, country specifics, style, fluency, and consistency • Work on projects in marketing, IT/software, and technical domains, including software UI and product documentation translation • Adapt to project needs and changing priorities while meeting tight deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience • Native speaker in Norwegian • Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience required • Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in IT and software • Excellent command of English in comprehension and writing • Experience with Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) • IT skills and knowledge of SDL Studio and CAT tools • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new tools • Strong understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools • Linguistic and cultural competence in both source and target languages • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing project priorities • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
