📋 Description

• Serve as the first point of contact and support for Patient Accounting team members, patients, clients, providers, payers, and other departments • Identify and report payment issues and discrepancies and assist in resolving them • Train and support new and current team members, ensuring work meets department standards • Assist leadership with special projects and maintain open communication • Analyze account data to resolve claims and payments, escalating unresolved issues as needed • Post payments and adjustments according to policies and procedures • Document all communication professionally and accurately • Review account information for accuracy in the billing system • Interpret explanation of benefits (EOBs) to identify payment discrepancies • Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders • Participate in team meetings and support team goals with a focus on improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year working experience with claims, billing and/or collections • Minimum of two (2) years in a business office setting • Associates degree in a related field • An equivalent combination of education and experience • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new software
