📋 Description

• Co-management of strategic programs: Together with experienced colleagues, you co-lead our group-wide program in the “Climate & Resources” area. • You align strategic climate and environmental targets with our operational environmental management and drive the achievement of our ambitious reduction pathways through targeted project leadership. • Within the team, you are responsible for the group-wide Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF). • Your primary focus is on preparing CO2 forecasts and continuously improving our reporting structures and carbon accounting to make progress controllable. • As the project-leading interface, you support our pioneering projects in regenerative agriculture (e.g., biodiversity). • You keep an overview of the “jungle” of EU legislation (e.g., CSRD/ESRS) and common climate standards (in particular the GHG Protocol and SBTi). • You analyze regulatory risks and emissions hotspots in our value chain and derive concrete, auditable recommendations for action for our specialist departments. • You act as the competent interface to our customers for complex sustainability inquiries and actively represent Lorenz in international bodies (e.g., UN Global Compact, BDSI, etc.). • You serve as an internal consultant, share your knowledge in training sessions, and provide technical content for authentic sustainability communication.

🎯 Requirements

• A degree in business administration, environmental sciences, or industrial engineering with a focus on Sustainability Management, or an equivalent qualification, forms your foundation. • You have several years of professional experience in the sustainability sector and possess in-depth expertise in Climate & Resources. • You are proficient in applying the GHG Protocol and ideally familiar with SBTi methodologies. • You have experience with operational environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and a strong affinity for numbers. • Preparing CO2 forecasts and working with complex data structures in reporting (CSRD/ESRS) is familiar to you. • You are well versed in current regulatory developments in the sustainability context. • You are comfortable with process management and (agile) project management methods. • Strong analytical skills, a high result orientation, and a genuine hands-on mentality characterize you. • You work independently and precisely and demonstrate strong teamwork skills. • You communicate confidently in English at a negotiation/business-fluent level.
