• Implement programs to generate new business and relationships in adsorbents applications, particularly ion exchange resins and activated carbon technologies • Identify potential customers for Ecosorb Adsorbents and Metsorb products in sugar refining, liquid sugar production, beverage, municipal water treatment, and industrial water treatment • Manage existing EMEA accounts and identify new customers within industry segments • Forecast sales and achieve performance goals • Prepare periodic sales reports covering sales volume, potential sales, and client-base expansion opportunities • Meet with existing and potential clients, maintain relationships, negotiate, and close deals • Identify relevant contacts in sales, technical, and purchasing functions • Cooperate with sales, marketing, and product management teams and support lead generation • Attend industry trade shows and participate as an exhibitor or presenter when appropriate • Evaluate market research needs and oversee assigned market research projects • Propose new product ideas based on market trends for potential R&D projects • Assist in developing strategic business plans with year-on-year quantifiable metrics • Implement advertising and promotional activities across print, online, and electronic media • Monitor competitor products and sales and marketing activities • Assist other departments with manuals and technical publications
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry, or significant technical experience in the industry • At least 10 years of sales/business development experience • Direct sales experience in the liquid sugar, beverage, sugar refining, or water treatment industry • Technical knowledge of specialty adsorbents, sugar market, and/or water treatment • English language business proficiency • Ability to travel across the EMEA territory • 50%+ travel • Effective cold calling abilities • Customer/client relationship management • Presentation skills • Problem solving/analysis • Strategic thinking • Technical capability
