📋 Description

• Design and write sustainable, readable, and elegant code • Rearchitect and refactor existing software where needed • Contribute to technical and product specifications • Collaborate with stakeholders on architecture and design decisions • Test software for reliability and robustness using different testing paradigms and libraries • Review specification and code feedback for continuous improvement and collaborative design • Conduct specification and code reviews for coworkers • Recommend new tools and process improvements • Continuously learn different programming paradigms and new technologies • Work with a highly collaborative group of engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Scala backend development • 2+ years' experience with mapping business domains into SQL schemas • Experience with message-based architectures, including Pulsar • Knowledge in API design using REST or GraphQL • Understanding and experience working with modern cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes • Responsibility for builds and CI/CD processes, including CircleCI and GitOps with ArgoCD for back-end deployments • Excellent communication skills, a bias for feedback and continuous improvement, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams • Ability to take ownership and initiative over tasks/projects and share new ideas with the team • Significant backend/application development experience; candidates whose primary experience is Scala-based data engineering, Spark, ETL, or Big Data development without significant backend/application development experience will not be considered • Intermediate-level Scala Engineer profile • Alignment with Maropost’s values: Customer Obsessed, Extreme Urgency, Excellence, Resourceful
