📋 Description

• Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned Resins & Polymers categories aligned with business objectives • Lead competitive sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contract management activities • Drive commercial optimization initiatives that improve cost competitiveness and supply assurance • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and working capital improvements • Manage Supplier Performance & Relationships • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships across North America • Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, service, innovation, sustainability, and commercial metrics • Support supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts • Drive supplier consolidation and strategic partnership opportunities where appropriate • Analyze Markets & Mitigate Risk • Monitor raw material markets, supply trends, industry developments, and capacity constraints • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks impacting assigned categories • Support business continuity planning and supply assurance initiatives • Utilize market intelligence to inform sourcing decisions and category strategies • Collaborate Across the Organization • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technical, Quality, Product Stewardship, Finance, and Business Leaders • Work closely with the global procurement organization to leverage best practices and scale opportunities • Support cross-functional projects focused on business growth, operational efficiency, and procurement excellence • Influence stakeholders and build alignment in a matrixed international environment • Drive Procurement Excellence • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegation of authority requirements, and governance standards • Support contract lifecycle management, including contract visibility, compliance, and renewal tracking • Analyze spend data, supplier performance metrics, and procurement KPIs • Contribute to procurement digitization initiatives, process improvements, automation, and system enhancements • Support sustainability, ESG, responsible sourcing, and KAITEKI objectives through supplier engagement

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, STEM, or a related field • Minimum 3 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain experience • Experience leading supplier negotiations, sourcing events, and contract management activities • Experience supporting direct materials categories preferred • Background within chemicals, polymers, resins, advanced materials, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial industries preferred • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional and multicultural teams • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and results orientation • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
