📋 Description

• Manage short-term electricity positions in the Day-Ahead and Intraday markets • Continuously develop and enhance trading activities • Analyze forecasts, balancing group positions, market prices, and market signals • Derive economically optimal trading decisions • Optimize short-term energy procurement, taking market prices, expected balancing energy prices, and regulatory requirements into account • Further develop models and optimization logic together with the Commercial Analytics team • Support the implementation and further development of automated trading, forecasting, and optimization processes, as well as the required systems • Monitor the performance of trading strategies, forecasts, and models • Identify areas for improvement • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards • Contribute to cross-functional projects

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience in energy trading, balancing group management, portfolio management, or a comparable energy industry environment • Strong understanding of electricity markets and the interrelationships between forecasts, balancing groups, schedules, and balancing energy • Ideally, experience in Day-Ahead or Intraday trading • Interest in data-driven decision-making models, automation, and the further development of trading processes • Strong IT affinity and the ability to quickly learn new systems, data models, and applications • Analytical thinking, initiative, and a structured way of working • Very good written and spoken German • Good written and spoken English
