📋 Description

• Lead Mellro's litigation operation, ensuring strategic management of real estate court proceedings, compliance with procedural deadlines, mitigation of legal risks, and operational efficiency of the Legal Ops department • Internalize the currently outsourced operation, structuring processes, KPIs and legal governance • Oversee the company’s entire portfolio of judicial cases • Handle eviction actions and enforcement/execution proceedings • Draft initial petitions, answers/defenses, appeals and court filings • Define litigation strategies • Attend hearings as required • Negotiate settlements and court-mediated agreements • Lead the internalization of litigation • Establish workflows, internal procedures and legal practice standards • Ensure compliance with internal SLAs • Implement case-control routines and manage the legal management system • Manage procedural deadlines, monitor risks and ensure procedural compliance • Produce executive reports and monitor indicators • Manage eviction cases, rent enforcement/executions, claims for charges and damages, enforcement of judgments, appeals and court settlements • Manage partner law firms when necessary • Develop the Legal Ops operation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent • Active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association) • Experience in civil litigation • Experience in real estate law • Experience with enforcement/execution proceedings • Experience in eviction proceedings • Experience managing a litigation/case portfolio • Experience in in-house legal departments or law firms specialized in real estate • Plus: experience in Legal Ops • Plus: knowledge of KPI-driven management • Plus: knowledge of process automation • Plus: experience leading teams • Suitable remote-work setup, including a computer or laptop and an appropriate workspace
