📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage Milpark Education’s digital library services • Manage and develop digital library collections, including e-books, journals, databases, and other online resources • Draft the annual library budget, monitor expenditure, and assess effectiveness using library usage statistics • Provide expert research assistance and information literacy and academic integrity support to students and faculty • Develop and deliver online workshops and tutorials on library resources and research skills • Collaborate with faculty and the Learning Innovation and Development team to integrate library resources into curricula and support course development • Manage library systems and technologies to ensure seamless access to digital resources • Liaise and contract with publishers and content providers to expand library resources • Ensure compliance with copyright law, intellectual property, and relevant legislation • Own the institution’s library strategy and align it with academic goals and student needs • Evaluate and implement new technologies and services, including AI-driven search tools, citation management software, data repositories, and digital preservation tools • Oversee the institutional journal from manuscript submission through peer review and final publication • Coordinate with editorial board members and reviewers and ensure timely, ethical processing of research papers • Manage and update the journal’s online platform and promote the journal to encourage submissions and readership • Maintain and update the institutional library website and develop a structured content update plan • Ensure access to digital resources and institutional repositories • Generate school-specific reports on library usage trends and engagement levels • Develop a library analytics dashboard tracking faculty and student interactions with digital resources • Present insights and recommendations to academic leadership • Provide targeted research support and specialized training to faculty, administrators, DBA candidates, and faculty conducting industry-focused research • Maintain publisher contract records and assess journal and database subscriptions • Negotiate new content acquisitions aligned with academic program needs • Enhance integration between library services and the institution’s Learning Management System (LMS)

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a library setting • At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role • Experience preferably focused on supporting postgraduate or online learners • Strong expertise in managing digital resources, academic databases, and online library systems • Experience negotiating contracts and building relationships with publishers, content providers, and database vendors • Ability to work independently and manage library services for undergraduate and postgraduate students in a remote, online setting • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities • Strong knowledge of digital library resources and technologies • Excellent research and information literacy skills • Experience in an online education environment is highly desirable • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to continuous professional development • Experience supporting MBA or DBA programmes, or a strong understanding of advanced business education needs • Familiarity with open-access publishing trends and innovative models for digital content delivery • Experience using library management systems and digital tools to support online learners
