📋 Description

• Manage SQL Server environments • Plan and execute: • Backup and restore strategies • Index and statistics maintenance plans • SQL Server installation and configuration • Administer security: • Object-level permissions • Principle of least privilege • Basic encryption (TDE, encrypted backups) • Analyze and resolve performance issues • Use Query Store to: • Identify plan regressions • Force plans when necessary • Use Profiler and Extended Events for troubleshooting • Replication: • Transactional replication • Snapshot replication • Bi-directional replication • Support database architecture improvements • Work closely with development teams

🎯 Requirements

• Expected technical knowledge: • Engine architecture (Buffer Pool, TempDB, transaction logs) • Index types and statistics • Performance tuning • Analysis of waits and locks • Query tuning • Execution plan analysis • Query Store and Extended Events • Analysis of high-cost queries • Replication: concepts, monitoring and troubleshooting • Security: TDE, certificates, granular permissions • Operating systems: Windows Server (I/O, memory, CPU) and Linux • Storage: RAID concepts, latency, IOPS, throughput • Physical modeling: keys, indexes and physical structures appropriate to the workload • Networking: DNS, gateway • Desired profile: • Technical autonomy • Good communication with business and development areas • Analytical mindset and focus on stability • Requirements and qualifications: • Bachelor's degree (completed) • Intermediate English • Basic Spanish • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle is a plus • Knowledge of Power BI • Knowledge of Pentaho • Knowledge of Zabbix and Grafana • SQL Server certifications • Minimum 7 years of experience with SQL Server databases • Ownership mentality • Critical judgment • Availability to travel
