📋 Description
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the facility quality inspection program • Manage inspection scheduling, shift scheduling, and trade bay assignments for the quality inspection team • Supervise Quality Technicians I, II, and III • Manage and co-lead customer-witnessed Factory Acceptance Tests alongside the Project Manager • Serve as official signatory for final product acceptance and shipping release • Audit workshop and yard processes for compliance with NEC, AWS welding frameworks, and state modular building certification requirements • Act as liaison between the corporate QA/QC Manager and local General Manager • Halt production or block product shipments when quality metrics, national codes, or state certification benchmarks are not met • Maintain total compliance, regulatory alignment, and external audit readiness • Support successful customer-witnessed FATs and external regulatory and state certification audits
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or GED • Proven technical competence in modular PDC construction • Ability to lead multi-trade teams, arbitrate compliance disputes, and interface with industrial clients • Quality Management experience or equivalent veteran quality experience • 8+ years in heavy multi-trade fabrication • 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role • Deep practical understanding of industrial structural drawings, construction tolerances, and general electrical systems layout • Direct facility experience may be substituted for formal degree or tenure requirements • Preferred: prior experience managing inspection data or coordinating quality checkpoints in a structural fabrication plant, shipyard, or steel fabrication environment • Preferred: familiarity with multi-state modular building certification frameworks, NEC codes, or basic root-cause failure analysis (RCFA) • Ability to safely navigate indoor and outdoor production spaces across all weather conditions • Comfort interfacing with high-level clients and regulatory officials under high-pressure testing environments
