📋 Description

• The Director of Data & Development is a leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering innovative solutions. • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for data analytics, business intelligence, and system development, aligning with overall business objectives. • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure data platforms, analytical tools, and enterprise-level development solutions. • Establish and enforce best practices for software development, data governance, data quality, and system architecture. • Collaborate with product, operations, and executive management teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions. • Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance data capabilities and application performance. • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of initiatives. • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders across the company, adapting communication style to different audiences. • Lead, mentor, build, and manage a team of data personnel, including analysts, engineers, and scientists as well as full-stack developers, engineers, and architects.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing data and application development teams. • Significant experience with LLMs, machine learning, agentic AI, conversational AI, and the application thereof. • Significant experience building and refining data and large language models to enable us to build solutions that include artificial intelligence. • Proven experience in architecting and delivering complex data solutions and software development in a high-growth environment. • Deep expertise in data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and modern analytic tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, Thoughtspot, Tableau, Power BI). • Strong understanding of full-stack development principles, software architecture patterns, and agile methodologies. • Hands-on experience with SQL and proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). • Experience with various transactional systems such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Sage Intacct, Workday, etc. • Share and work in accordance with our values. • Must be able to work in alignment with America’s time zones. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. • A real “MacGyver” when looking at solutions; truly understanding how out of the box thinking can deliver spectacular results with the incredibly flexible systems and processes we have in place. • Strong sense of personal accountability and the ability to work independently. • Ability to communicate expertly with and influence clients, colleagues, direct reports, and cross-functional stakeholders while working collaboratively. • High EQ and a sense of humor are required.
