📋 Description

• Represents the Florida Commission on Human Relations in civil litigation, administrative, and other legal proceedings • Prepares legal documents, conducts legal research, and provides advice on legal issues and transactions • Determines whether statutory violations occurred in cases investigated by the agency • Reviews investigative reports for legal sufficiency • Prepares Determinations and other legal documents for review and approval • Works with investigations managers to improve work product and revise investigative reports • Represents the agency in legal proceedings • Responds to inquiries regarding legal issues specific to employment discrimination, retaliation, public accommodations, and fair housing • Prepares and conducts legal training modules

🎯 Requirements

• Admission to The Florida Bar and a member in good standing • Two (2) years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law, or in administrative or judicial hearings • A degree in business administration, public administration, or business management (preferred) • Experience in employment discrimination law and/or housing discrimination law (preferred) • Experience drafting and editing complex documents (preferred) • Experience managing a large caseload (preferred) • Experience drafting proposed final orders (preferred)
